Warta Poznan is the oldest existing football club in the capital of Wielkopolska region and one of the oldest in the country.
Footballers of the “Greens” were wherever important things happened for Polish soccer, they represented Poland at the Olympic Games and World Championships.
In 1927 Warta Poznan was one of the founders of the football league in Poland, today’s Ekstraklasa.
Two Polish championships (1929 and 1947), five runner-up titles and seven seasons finishing on the third step of the podium in the Ekstraklasa give Warta Poznan a place in the top ten of the most successful Polish clubs.

Keeping this in mind and cherishing its beautiful history, Warta Poznań is creating its new image.
In its “Development Plan 2020-23,” published in 2020, it describes itself as a socially engaged club, fighting exclusions, and caring for the needs of seniors, children and people with disabilities.
The traditional nickname “Greens,” in turn, is a challenge to take action to protect the environment.
Therefore, in addition to competing for league points and trying to refer to the greatest moments in the history of Warta Poznan, the Club also carries out a number of initiatives arising from corporate social responsibility. We believe that these activities can be coherently reconciled with each other. One example is the “But he planted!” campaign, very well received among fans, in which Warta Poznan has pledged to plant 100 trees for each goal scored by our players during the season.
In addition, we carry out numerous projects, such as “Green Apiary,” “Active Senior,” “Alley of the Warriors,” and participate in Earth cleanup campaigns.
